MORE TO COME!
Q: What is Henna?
A:  Henna, Lawsonia inermis, produces a red-orange dye molecule, lawsone. This molecule has an affinity for bonding with protein, and thus has been used to dye skin, hair, fingernails, leather, silk and wool

Q: Can you get a black henna stain?
A:  No.  Any henna that stains black may possibly contain PPD, an ingredient used in hair dyes, that can cause severe allergies, blisters, and scarring.  Lady Face of Denver uses only all natural Henna mixed with essential oils.

Q:  Is Henna safe?  Henna is considered safe for skin and hair as an organic dye, allergic reactions are very rare.  If you have had an allergic reaction to henna in the past, you should not get henna again.  As a precaution, Lady Face of Denver does not offer henna for children under eight years of age.

Q:  How can I make my Henna stain last?
A:  Have your henna placed in an area that does not encounter frequent rubbing of fabrics, use care when washing near or on your henna stain, do not scrub it.  Your henna stain will start as an orange-red color and darken to brown over 24-72 hours, and face slowly over a period of 1-3 weeks.
