"It was a great pleasure to work with you today. I was impressed with how professional your work was. You were able to address a great variety of needs (for models and photographer), while exuding calm efficiency throughout.
As a side note, the materials you used were wonderful….not only did they photograph well, but they were durable (even under jeans on the car ride home!) AND came of readily with soap and water. I sincerely appreciate the time and energy you devote to sanitary practice and the use of gentle products!" - DePhedra, Model
ARTIST:

My name is Lisabeth Place. I am an artist in various mediums, and have always loved face and body

painting and makeup. My interest in face painting began in middle school, when I visited my local

high school, and spent a day in their theater department. One of their artists gave me a little scar,

and I was immediately hooked.

It became a hobby that resurfaced the most at Halloween every year. I would find myself asking

everyone three months in advance: "What are you going to be for Halloween?" When I had my third

child, I left the corporate world to focus my time and energy on my children. I began face painting at

the kids' birthday parties, and continued working on costumes on Halloween. It soon became clear that this would be the perfect career to put my artistic talents to use, and truly enjoy what I do.
Since then, I have worked in Face Painting for numerous clients. In addition to birthday parties and weddings, I have painted for large events and childcare centers.
In Body Painting, I have worked with photgraphers and models to acheive the perfect photo ready painting. My maternity art has appeared in the leading UK Face and Body Painting magazine: "Illusions". I have painted for everything from club promotions to partygoers. I also took second place at the Denver Body Art Championships held at WISH.
PRODUCTS / SAFETY
All paints used are FDA approved, cosmetic grade FACE PAINTS, and are non-toxic. The specific brands I use are Mehron, and Wolfe Brothers. No craft paints, or poor quality "face paints" are used. Products are only used to manufacturers specifications. This means I will not use paints around the eyes or lips that are not intended for this purpose. Paints wash off with mild soap and water, and can also be wiped away with a gentle baby wipe. I recommend using a "no tears" formula soap or shampoo, as this does not sting if it touches the eyes.
Due to health concerns, I cannot paint faces of people with open wounds or sores, severe/ open acne, or anyone who is visibly sick. This is for the protection of all people who are getting their faces painted.
If you have had a severe allergy to any cosmetic materials in the past, it is recommended that you do not get your face painted. While it is rare, some people are sensitive to cosmetic products. Lady Face of Denver assumes no liability in the event of an allergic reaction.
Certificates of insurance are available upon request, and can name your business or venue as additional insured at no extra cost to you.

ARCHIVED NEWS:
Foxridge Farm Community Event:
The Harvest Festival in the Foxridge Farm Community was a huge success! In addition to face painting, there was a pumpkin patch, a bouncy castle, and a barbeque for community members. All around you, there were children (and adults) with their faces painted with butterflies, blues clues, sea horses, and lovely little fairy masks. My favorite designs for the day were a little ladybug mask, and a gold and red Chinese dragon mask. I hope everyone had a great time! I loved meeting all of the community members!
COLORADO PUPPY RESCUE ADOPTION EVENT!
The Colorado Puppy Rescue adoption event at Petco was a great success. The puppies were all gone in a matter of hours, and we were able to raise some extra money for the cause with face painting. Sports team logo painted most: New England Patriots! Animal painted most: Butterfly! I had a wonderful time, and truly appreciate the hard work they do at the Colorado Puppy Rescue.
